The Art and Vision of Greg Jagassar

Welcome to the world of Balancing Bru, where the ancient art of rock balancing meets modern creativity and mindfulness.
I’m Greg Jagassar, the artist and facilitator behind the practice, helping people and teams experience calm, focus, and connection through stone balancing.

Born in Canada and now based in Switzerland, my journey began as a personal search for stillness and creativity. It has since evolved into workshops, live installations, and events that merge art with mindfulness.

Each balance I create seems to defy gravity, yet it’s built on presence, patience, and trust, the same principles I bring to every session.

The name “Bru” is a tribute to my older brother Terry, whose support and guidance continue to ground me and inspire my work.

Whether guiding a team or creating a public installation, my goal is simple: to help people slow down, reconnect, and rediscover balance.

My Journey to Rock Balancing

My journey into rock balancing began in 2017,  though the roots were planted much earlier.
Growing up in Canada, I was always drawn to nature: the forests, lakes, and mountains that seemed to hold quiet wisdom. When I moved to Switzerland in 2008, surrounded by the Alps and timeless stones, that connection deepened and reshaped my creativity.

Discovering rock balancing changed my life. What started as curiosity became my daily practice, my state of flow, grounding, and inner peace. It’s my form of meditation, a way to slow down and return to stillness no matter what’s happening around me.

As I began sharing my creations, I saw how this same sense of calm and presence resonated with others. Since 2017, I’ve been performing and teaching across Europe, using this art to help people and teams rediscover balance, creativity, and connection,  one stone at a time.

Philosophy

The Philosophy Behind Balancing Bru

For me, rock balancing isn’t just art, it’s a way of seeing and living ma life.
It’s about finding harmony between opposites: gravity and balance, stillness and movement, effort and ease.

Each stone is placed with care and patience until it seems to float on air. The process asks for total presence, every breath, every touch, every tiny adjustment matters.

That same awareness reaches far beyond the stones. It reminds us to stay centered in our own lives, in how we work, create, and connect with others.
When we learn to find balance in the small things, we begin to carry it into everything we do.

Fusion

The Art of Fusion: Rock Balancing and Music

One of the most distinctive parts of Balancing Bru is how I blend rock balancing with live music.
I’ve always believed art should engage all the senses, sight, sound, and feeling. When stone and sound meet, the result is a deeply immersive experience that moves both the performer and the audience.

Music has always been part of my life, and it’s now part of every show I create. Whether it’s the pulse of a live DJ, the warmth of an acoustic guitarist, or ambient soundscapes, music amplifies the meditative flow of balancing stones. You can almost feel the rhythm of the earth through every movement.

For larger workshops and events, I can bring lighting setups, DJs, and live musicians, transforming the space into a living art performance, part mindfulness, part concert, all balance.

Each session becomes a collaboration between the rocks, the music, and everyone present, a shared moment of stillness and energy that people remember long after the last stone stands.

The Impact of Rock Balancing

Creativity, Mindfulness and Connection

Rock balancing has changed my life, it grounds me, clears my mind, and keeps me connected to what really matters. Through my workshops and performances, I’ve seen how this practice can spark creativity, calm the mind, and reconnect people with nature.

Creativity
Each stone brings a new challenge,  a chance to see differently and create something unique. Balancing stones teaches creative problem-solving and flow, reminding us that art and innovation can appear in the simplest actions.

Mindfulness
Balancing demands full presence. Every movement, every breath matters. It’s a form of moving meditation that naturally reduces stress and sharpens focus. Teams often leave my sessions feeling lighter, calmer, and more centered.

Connection
This practice brings people, and nature, back together. It slows the pace, invites touch, sound, and stillness, and helps us remember our place in the natural rhythm of things.

In the end, rock balancing is more than art, it’s a way to reconnect with creativity, calm, and each other.
